Description

When launching lttng-relayd without arguments from a init script (tested with upstart on Ubuntu 14.04 and systemd on Arch), everything seems to work fine, but the traces are never written anywhere and the user does not know about it.

It seems we end up in this error : "Error: Home path not found."
But the user does not receive any error message.
Tested on v2.4.1 and v2.5.0-rc2.

Starting the relay with -o works fine.

Upstart script to reproduce :
description "LTTng 2.x relay daemon"

start on local-filesystems
stop on runlevel [06]
respawn
exec lttng-relayd
